Legends from the Fall

An Oscar-winning movie in from 1994, Legends of the Fall was the epic story of three brothers and their father living in the remote wilderness of 1900s USA and how their lives are affected by nature, history, war, and love.

In the movie, the character "One Stab" stated: "Some people hear their own inner voices with great clearness and they live by what they hear. Such people become crazy, or they become legends."

Last night, after finishing Level III Faster EFT training in Oklahoma City, I offered my car as a transport vehicle for some equipment. Met up with our cameraman at the headquarters to unload. In the process, lifting out a big box loaded with books, the box broke and it — and I — went down on the steps. Bam! Big impact. Got myself up and headed to the bathroom to assess the damage. Pretty big. The left knee took the brunt of the impact: Blood, scrapes, purple, swelling rapidly. Limped back out and made my escape as fast as I could.

All the way home I tapped.

I tapped on:

The event: The fall... the impact... "Bam!"... "oh, shit"... the concrete coming toward me... the falling feeling.... Let it go, just let it go...

The emotions: "Clumsy"... "I'm such an idiot"... embarrassed... angry... "Stupid me"... Just let it go...

The physical sensations: The pain, the sting, the swelling, the blood, let it go.
The scrape, the lip, the wrists, the hand, the stiffness, just let it go.
The hurt... the raw... the twist... the wrench... Let it go.

After each sequence, (Deep breath)... Peace.

Got home and showed my husband. He was impressed! Took a few minutes for some really good hugs, and then I washed it off, put a little Oil of Oregano on it, slapped some frozen peas on it and tapped for 15 minutes on whatever I felt, whatever came up.

The pain... the cold... the sting... the zing... Let it go...
The memory of falling like this on my parents porch.... let it go...
That took a long time to heal.... letting it go.
I am a healing machine.... I can feel it healing already... the ache... the sting... let it go...
I feel myself healing rapidly, easily... naturally... I let the rest go...

At the 15 minute point I got up and made dinner for myself, moving much more easily. Ate with the ice pack on again for 15 minutes. Felt so much better that I decided to go to the Faster EFT get-together at Friends for a while. Took 2 Ibuprofen, and forgot about it. My body can be trusted to heal me.  Enjoyed myself thoroughly.

When we got home I took another look. Less purple, but the left knee was about 3" bigger than the right. Really swollen. So, some more Oil of Oregano and 15 more minutes of ice. And again, tapping on whatever came up, whatever sensations or thoughts I had about the accident that I did not want.

At this point I put the peas back in the freezer and went to bed. Decided not to take any more painkillers because I wasn't feeling too bad. Just stiff and achy. Took about 5 minutes to find a comfortable position, did some mental tapping on the remaining sensations and conked out. Slept for 9 hours and woke up feeling good. My knee felt pretty flexible, and when I looked at it...

I was amazed! ALL of the swelling was gone, the purple was gone, just looked like a very minor scrape. WOW!

To put this in perspective, I had a similar fall on my parents porch about two years ago. (Pre-Faster EFT.) I took WEEKS to heal. In fact the discoloration and scarring took more than a year to disappear. This time, it looks better  — overnight — than that injury did after 13 months.  What a difference! And where was that difference? Almost the exact same injury. The difference was inside of me — how I "let go" of the trauma from my mind and body IMMEDIATELY. Without those emotions and trauma there, my body knew exactly what to do: Heal. So simple, and yet so profound. And anyone — even a little child — can put it into practice.

With Faster EFT, we know that ALL of us live by what we hear (or see, or feel) inside of us. Most of us become a little crazy. But with the tools we learn with Faster EFT, things can be different. WE can be different. We can truly become legends.
